Marwa El Sherbiny was stabbed to death by the German defendant at a courtroom in Dresden, where her husband was accidentally shot by German police on 01 July 2009. The stabbing happened shortly before the woman, aged 32, was to give evidence in an appeal lodged by the man against a conviction for insulting behaviour.
